The Singular Life of Aria Patel

Owen was approached by Hachette Book Group to create a cover for The New York Times Bestselling Author Samira Ahmed's wonderful new novel Singular Life of Aria Patel, which is published by imprint Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.

The cover artwork was inspired by the Aria’s journey “through the shimmering ripple into another universe and another version of herself. Then it happens again. And again...” Owen aimed to represented this as an array of swirling handcut layers of paper, using a sweeping gradient of tones, with Aria’s silhouette stood boldly against the void.
