I was invited to create an artwork for the 7th and final Secret 7" exhibition, held at NOW Gallery in London from 14 Oct – 1 Nov 2020. The exhibition picked 7 tracks from 7 of the best-known musicians around and pressed each one onto 7” vinyl, which were sold at auction after the show raising money for the amazing charity Choose Love.
I was very proud to be part of this final ever show, exhibiting alongside the likes of Anish Kapoor, Tacita Dean, Michel Gondry, Lubaina Himid, Stanley Donwood, Mark Wallinger, The Connor Brothers, Helen Beard, Jeremy Deller, Lotte Andersen, Jadé Fadojutimi, Ragnar Kjartansson, Maya Hayuk, Gavin Turk, The Chapman Brothers and many more.
Of the 7 tracks on offer I selected Miles Davis’ interdimensional tune Miles Runs the Voodoo Down, creating a multi layered paper cut artwork in response, featuring a gradient of psychedelic tones cut into a proud silhouetted female form.
I'm super proud that my artwork was in the top 15 of the auctioned artworks, making £790 for charity, which helped chip into the whopping grand total of £134,000 raised for the amazing Choose Love.
