Intersections

'Intersections' is an on-going series of original multi-layered paper cut artworks by Owen Gildersleeve. The series captures life in its simplest of forms, through intersecting graphical shapes and hand-cut layers or paper. The artwork uses a very limited selection of bold coloured paper sheets, working in a gradient from light to dark and layered using board.

In 2025, one of the studies from the first series of artworks  ‘Intersections: Study I’ was selected as a winner of the Homiens Art Prize in New York, highlighting “luminaries who stand out for their masterful technical skill, innovative use of materials, and ability to provoke deep emotional and intellectual resonance.”

'Intersections' is now represented by Cube Gallery in London, and will be showing at Affordable Art Fair NYC and Affordable Art Fair Boston in the fall of 2026.
